The Vision Forward

The future of SAF is unfolding before our eyes as each year brings us closer to a net-zero aviation industry. The Transformative Years (2025-2030) will be foundational – this is when we lay the groundwork for mass SAF adoption, scaling production, securing long-term commitments, and advancing policy frameworks to achieve the 2030 SAF Grand Challenge goal of producing 3 billion gallons annually.

Beyond 2030, the next two decades will define the second wave of technological evolution and innovation. Between 2030 and 2050, our industry must implement cutting-edge advancements in feedstock processing, refining efficiency, and distribution scalability to reach 35 billion gallons of annual SAF production – a crucial step toward achieving net-zero emissions in the U.S. by 2050.

XCF Global is committed to leading this transformation, ensuring SAF becomes the backbone of the aviation fuel market. Success will require industry-wide collaboration, bold investments, and continuous technological breakthroughs. XCF is well-positioned to take a leading role in this transformation.

Opportunities

Scaling Production

XCF’s New Rise Reno facility is fully operational and expected to realize annualized production of 38 million gallons of neat SAF in 2025. With additional facilities in development, we are on track to scale production to 159 million gallons by 2028. This expansion positions XCF as a top SAF producer, ensuring we meet the growing demand for sustainable fuel.

Expanding Partnerships

Building a resilient SAF market requires strong collaboration across the supply chain. XCF is forging partnerships with airlines, energy companies, and fuel distributors to create long-term supply agreements that drive investment and accelerate adoption. By working closely with key stakeholders, we are enhancing production scalability and ensuring that SAF becomes an integral part of global aviation fuel infrastructure.

Technological Breakthroughs

XCF is advancing new production pathways and refining feedstock processing to drive efficiency and scalability. These breakthroughs are not only making SAF more cost-competitive but are also essential to achieving the aviation industry's long-term goal of net-zero emissions by 2050. Continued innovation in SAF technology will be key to ensuring widespread adoption and sustained industry transformation.

How we’ll get there

  • Community Engagement: We bring together industry leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders to drive SAF awareness and build trust through knowledge-sharing and collaboration.
  • Technology & Innovation: Cutting-edge SAF production methods and enhanced feedstock efficiency will accelerate the technological advancements needed to scale SAF adoption globally and realize 2050 targets for net-zero emissions.
  • Strategic Expansion: Strengthening partnerships across the fuel distribution network is key to increasing adoption. By optimizing logistics and expanding access to SAF, we ensure a seamless and efficient transition to synthetic aviation fuels across the entire supply chain.

The future of aviation depends on bold action, innovation, and commitment. SAF is no longer a concept – it is the only commercially viable solution to decarbonizing the aviation industry. While challenges exist, the momentum behind SAF adoption is undeniable, and each milestone brings us closer to a net-zero future.

At XCF Global, we are not just participating in this transition; we are driving it forward. Collaboration across industries, investment in cutting-edge technology, and a shared commitment to sustainability will define our success. Together, we will transform aviation for generations to come.
